Bonsai and Everglades

Today's happy thought is: bonsai.

I bought one for my desk. Ain't she a beauty?

There's a nursery near here that teaches proper bonsai care on certain Saturdays. I need to look up the time of the next one and apply for the class. Back when I lived in Fairfax, I drove past it every day and got to see how the time never matched up with what I needed, but I'm sure it will work out soon, if only I still had access to its schedule.

I had to go home from work early yesterday due to stress-related illness. Had a chance to talk strategy with one of the parties involved, so we might come up with a solution soon. Hopefully.

Also last night, I refused to drop everything to go pick up the roommate from the urgent care at midnight. It was only a matter of time before I was going to have to refuse and now it's finally happened. I told her to check with Uber, then put my phone on silent and went to bed.

Apparently, she got home safely, so that's good.

While home in the afternoon, hurting too much to go for a walk and yet not enough to be able to fall asleep, I pulled out this new puzzle I picked up on my last vacation. Good times. Made me a bit homesick though. I loved Florida.
