Night on a Roof

I went to Daniel Heffington's event in Loudoun a couple weeks ago and enjoyed it so much that I followed the next two events on his summer music tour. When Facebook prompted me that the next one was happening this week, I wasn't sure if I wanted to go. I've been going to bed significantly too late and overdoing it with the physical exercise, so collapsing after work sounded like a great idea.

Fortunately, my coworker, Belle, saw the event on my feed and said she'd like to attend. Belle and I connected over tall drinks and cabin fever when we got trapped in the hotel by Winter Storm Jonas. We went to see Batman vs. Superman together since then, but our attempts to see Civil War fell through. In sum, we were overdue for a night out.

Epicure Cafe served great food, and Daniel's music was awesome, as usual. Smaller crowd than the last event, but I guess that's expected, since we were in Fairfax this time. No big deal for me; much bigger deal for the rest of the social circle, which is primarily in Leesburg and Pville.

Actually, we were right in my old neighborhood. Funny how I'd never noticed that rooftop cafe before.

Belle says she told her sister about it afterwards, and she said she wanted to come too. Maybe next time!
